Where GLOW F.A.C.E fits in your skincare routine
By Carla Oates
If, like us, you’re big into beauty—then it’s likely you have a bathroom cabinet brimming with your favourite products. You’ve probably also got your skincare routine down pat, knowing the exact order to apply each formula in order to put your best face forward. That is, until you discover a new product you’re keen to add to your rotation! As a predominantly inner beauty brand, we often speak about how to combine and enjoy our ingestible beauty powders and elixirs to target your specific skin and wellbeing concerns. And while there are a couple of anomalies—most of our formulas have also been specifically designed to work synergistically together to amplify the results of one another. And GLOW F.A.C.E is no exception. While this intensive rejuvenating face oil sits in our outer beauty category—it is so much more than a face oil and is a supernutrient formula that has been purposefully created to complement your inner beauty routine and take your glow to the next level. Once you’ve tried GLOW F.A.C.E for yourself you’ll no doubt discover the perfect way to integrate it into your existing routine—but for those of you who are perhaps new to serums and face oils, here’s our quick guide…
Step One: Cleanse
As perhaps the most essential and basic step in your skincare routine, cleansing helps to rid your skin of all the grit, grime and impurities it comes into contact with on a daily basis. However, cleansing need not be harsh and instead, a gentle organic formula or oil-based cleanser can be just what you need to keep your skin barrier balanced and ready for replenishment.
Step Two: Tone
Although not everyone considers toning to be ‘essential’ and often brings to mind old-school products and brands that used very astringent or alcohol-based blends to ‘dry up’ pores and give the skin a second quick clean—the good news is that toning has evolved somewhat in recent years. Now, this step helps to infuse your skin with extra nutrients and prep it for your favourite serums, oils and moisturisers—amplifying their benefits. Our Probiotic Skin Refiner, for example, is a clean exfoliator and hydrator that contains natural bio-fermented lactic acid and wholefood nutrients to improve tone and texture and smooth the skin. Given it’s also naturally rich in probiotics, it helps to nourish and balance your skin’s delicate ecosystem—for more radiant, resilient skin.
Step Three: GLOW F.A.C.E
As the third step in your skincare routine, GLOW F.A.C.E sits where you would traditionally apply your favourite serums and face oils. Now that your skin has been prepped, this transformative formula can get to work—infusing your skin with fermented prebiotic and probiotic extract, Bakuchiol, vitamins A, C and E, as well as over 20 plant extracts and antioxidants including lipid-rich oils such as sea buckthorn berry as well as Kakadu plum. Designed to be a total multitasker, you can use GLOW F.A.C.E on its own, or layer it with your existing serums and oils—if it feels right for you and your skin. Simply shake the bottle gently before adding 3–4 drops to your fingers. Gently press into your skin, then massage moving from the centre of the face outward, up the neck and across your decolletage. The result? Truly glowing skin with reduced fine lines, wrinkles and a stronger, more supported skin microbiome.
Step Four: Moisturise (If Needed)
After a couple of minutes, see how your skin feels and if you may decide that GLOW F.A.C.E is the only hydration you need. For others, applying moisturiser following GLOW F.A.C.E will be beneficial but as everyone’s skin type and skin concerns differ, it’s important to trust your instincts. The texture of your moisturiser will depend on your skin type, but typically oilier and combination skin types can get away with a lighter lotion, while dry or sensitive skins can benefit from a heavier cream or balm.
Step Five: SPFAs always, if you’re heading outside, make sure to apply SPF before stepping into the sun! While we have no doubt adding GLOW F.A.C.E to your skincare routine will deliver truly transformative results—your best protection against the visible signs of ageing is prevention and SPF will certainly help to limit damage caused by powerful UV rays.
